Central City Fire Department Budget (PDF)
- This is an example of budget that I created for the Central City Fire Department. For this project our team was to assume the role of budget team for Central City Fire Department. The fire department never produced its own budget document and the new City Manager directed that each department prepare its own budget document that will be later merged into a total City budget. The Fire Chief had little budgeting knowledge and was retiring at the end of the year. He completely delegated this to our team. The objective of this project was to develop the 2014 budget for the Central City Fire Department. We were provided with basic data about the costs of the department as well as background information from 2013. Our team had to overcome obstacles such as new hirings, retirements, fleet replacements, new station proposals, and mutual aid needs.
- The Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District currently has an agreement with the board of directors to maintain a strict response time to all parts of out district. If our response goes over 5 minutes, the district has to explain to the board why the response time exceeded the expectations of the board and the distrcits plans to mitigate this problem in the future. There are specific areas that are not able to maintain that response time. This is an issue and requires the immediate need for the building of station 4. This is an example of proposal to build station 4 for the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District. It includes the following components: executive summary, project description, project team, stockholder involvement, and project management.
